Why homebirth?

Giving birth at home can be a deeply sacred and empowering experience, one that honors the way God designed your body and this incredible journey into motherhood. In a home setting, you’re surrounded by the comfort of your own space, filled with peace, prayer, and the presence of those you love.

There are no wires or machines to distract you. Just room to breathe, move, and listen to the gentle leading of your body and spirit. You’re in a place where you feel safe, supported, and held; both by your birth team and by the Lord.

Partners often feel more connected and involved at home, and children can be included if that’s part of your vision. Birth becomes a family experience, full of grace and intimacy. It’s your story, written in your own space, with God’s presence woven through each moment.

And while labor and birth are a beautiful part of it all, there’s something truly special about curling up in your own bed afterward, sharing a meal, and resting in the comfort of home.

What’s included in a homebirth

Faith-Centered Prenatal Care

From the very beginning, we walk with you through pregnancy with a heart of service, compassion, and prayerful support. You may choose office visits or the comfort of in-home appointments as we journey together through each stage of your pregnancy.

Starting care late? That’s perfectly okay. We’ll gladly pick up at whatever stage of pregnancy you’re in and support you from here with compassion and grace.

Your prenatal schedule includes:

  • 10–28 weeks: One visit per month

  • 28–36 weeks: Visits every two weeks

  • 36 weeks until birth: Weekly visits as we prepare your heart and home for baby.

Each prenatal visit lasts about an hour, giving us the space to slow down, listen deeply, and build a meaningful relationship. During these visits we:

  • Check maternal & fetal vitals (blood pressure, pulse, baby’s heartbeat, growth, position, and more)

  • Discuss test and screening options

  • Offer nourishment and lifestyle guidance

  • Support you through the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy

  • Provide Christ-centered preparation for labor, birth, and postpartum

  • Pray with you or over your pregnancy if desired

  • Answer questions and ensure you feel seen, supported, and safe

Our care model is rooted in the belief that God designed birth with intention, and that peaceful, informed, relationship-based care leads to healthier outcomes for both mother and baby.

Postpartum & Newborn Care

Birth is just the beginning of your sacred postpartum season. We continue caring for you and your baby for the first six weeks, offering gentle, holistic, and spiritually-grounded support as you settle into life with your little one.

During postpartum visits we:

  • Assess your healing and overall well-being

  • Evaluate your baby’s growth and health

  • Check vitals for both mother and newborn

  • Offer breastfeeding guidance and encouragement

  • Provide emotional and spiritual support for the transition into motherhood

Your postpartum schedule typically includes visits at:

  • 24–36 hours after birth

  • 3–5 days postpartum

  • 2–4 weeks postpartum

  • 6 weeks postpartum

Through every step, our desire is to honor the God-given design of birth, nurture your confidence, and ensure you feel held, supported, and equipped as you welcome your little blessing into the world.

Curious about what’s included in our homebirth package? Send us a message—we’d love to share more about how we can walk alongside you in this beautiful, God-designed journey.

Testimonials

As a doula, I thought that I'd have no questions along the way, but boy did God humble me in the most beautiful ways throughout my fourth pregnancy and first homebirth. I had severe HG throughout my entire pregnancy and Sarah walked the path with me. On my darkest day when I asked the Lord to take the pain or the baby, Sarah spoke life over me and continued to support me and offer comfort and a listening ear whenever needed. My husband, who previously was skeptical of homebirth, felt totally at peace with the help of Sarah and Kelly. A sticky shoulder, a situation that would have been emergent in another setting, was handled calmly. When I reached the "I can't do this" point in my quick three-hour labor, both Sarah and Kelly prayed over me, and within five minutes my sweet boy joined us. When the postpartum blues felt like they may be turning into depression, Sarah came and sat next to me, just letting me know that I was held and not alone. She involved my older children, loved me well, and served with a heart of Jesus. - Alexandria B.

From the very moment I met Sarah and we had our first prenatal appointment, I knew this journey was going to be incredibly special! I immediately had a soul connection with Sarah and felt completely and utterly safe, cared for, UNDERSTOOD and validated by her. Things you don’t get from a normal maternity Dr 90% of the time. I could write all day on the prenatal care, but for now I just want to talk about the actual birth.

This was my fifth and final baby and I knew exactly what I wanted. After suffering 2 miscarriages, I knew I wanted every possible decision to be mine in this last birth. Sarah did JUST THAT! She allowed me to make every decision I safely could and educated me on absolutely everything about home births. I felt 100% confident in her ability to not only deliver my baby, but to do it safely while still allowing me to make nearly every single decision.

This was the most incredible experience I’ve ever had. Sarah made sure everything was perfectly in place, she allowed me to labor in peace and silence and sat patiently with my family for hours while I was able to labor the way I wanted to. There was no vaginal checks, bright lights, beeping machines or cold hands. It was just pure peace. When it was time to push Sarah gently encouraged me and when I needed that extra push of encouragement to get that last push out, she made it happen!

My baby was born safely in the water, in the dim comforting and quiet setting of my living room, surrounded by family and a midwife whose love, care and patience I will forever cherish. I will never be able to fully express what an absolute blessing Sarah was for me throughout my entire pregnancy and birthing experience. I will FOREVER recommend her to every expecting mama wanting to try a home birth! Brandi S

For my first baby I did a typical hospital birth and knew it could be better. So for my second baby I switched to a home birth with Sarah when I was around 29 weeks. The care she gives is night and day difference! She answered all my questions and concerns I had and made me feel so comfortable the moment I switched and I knew I was in good hands. I had a long labor that stopped and stalled over a couple days and between that she came to my house to do spinning babies, brought me food and just truly took care of me! Even after she had been up with me all night. During birth she was quietly there while I labored and just did what I needed her to do without me even saying. Telling me I can do it, holding my hands during a contraction, and I’m sure much more that I’m not even aware of while I was laboring! She made sure my baby made her entry into the world safely even when things got a little complicated. After birth she made sure I was completely safe, fed, ready to rest and totally taken care of before leaving. She was truly amazing!! I would recommend her to anyone and I’m so thankful I found her to deliver my baby 💕 Anna B

I have attempted to write this testimonial time and time again, yet I keep falling short, because words alone cannot truly encompass my experience with Sarah and Kelly. To fully understand what they offer, you must experience it.

I was diligent in my search. I interviewed midwives with care and intention. All were qualified, but none spoke to my soul… until I heard Sarah’s voice. That same voice became my anchor, the calm in the storm when I didn’t realize I was deep in transition and drowning in self-doubt. It was the voice that prayed over me. The voice that held space for me when I questioned my own strength. The voice that gently guided my baby into the world, the first hands my child ever knew. How lucky my child is to have been welcomed to Earth by Sarah’s hands. But the story doesn’t end with birth.

Kelly, became a lifeline in my postpartum journey. She held space for my tears when the weight of new motherhood felt heavy. She didn’t rush me back to “okay”, she sat with me in the not-okay and prayed with me through it. In those moments, with both Sarah and Kelly, I felt God in the room. Not as a distant idea, but as a presence moving through their words, their touch, their care.

Throughout my pregnancy and birth, I was never managed, I was supported. My choices were honored. My autonomy was protected. Every decision was made with informed consent, never coercion. They were the best decision I have ever made! Kendal P
