What’s Included in Our Doula Packages?

Consultation: This free consultation is scheduled so you can spend some time getting to know our team. During this meet & greet we will discuss what you are looking for in a Birth Doula to make sure we are the right fit for you, your family, and birth team. This meet up is scheduled virtually through a phone call, Zoom, or FaceTime.

Phone & Email  Support: Once a contract is signed you will receive continuous phone and email support to provide reassurance, answer questions, and offer any support you need prior to or immediately following your birth.

1st Prenatal Appointment: Birth Vision-Knitted Together Birth Services works as a group practice-you will meet with Sarah and Kelly to discuss your goals for labor and birth. We will also review your birth preferences such as who you want in the room while laboring, privacy, what relaxation techniques you are interested in using, learning and creating your labor, birth and postpartum birth plan.

2nd Prenatal Appointment: Hands-0n Support-We will finalize your labor, birth, and postpartum plan. Practice and learn new laboring positions, relaxation techniques and coping skills. We discuss what signs to look for that indicate active labor and when to call us.

Labor & Birth: You will receive continuous in-person labor support from the doula on call from the onset of active labor. Our doula will work with your partner and support team to maintain a peaceful and positive environment. She will use the comfort measures discussed during the prenatal visits and will work with your birth team to establish rapport and ensure you have the information needed to make informed decisions about your care and the care of your baby. We will also help document your birth by taking notes & photographs. After your baby has been born, we will stay with you for up to two hours and for initial breastfeeding to be established.

Postpartum Visit: We will review your birth, assist with infant feeding if needed, answer any questions you have following your birth, and complete a brief survey.

Lactation Assessment: During your Postpartum visit we can complete a breastfeeding assessment & weight check in for you & baby. Answer any questions you have and set up additional lactation consultations if you so desire/need.

Postnatal Mental Health Check-in: Our Perinatal Mental Health Coach, Kelly, will meet with you to talk about how you're doing mentally and emotionally, discuss tools for coping, and discuss options for receiving additional professional mental health support.

We require a retainer fee of $300 due upon signing the contract. The remaining balance is due by 36 weeks gestation.
