The team at Knitted Together Birth Services, LLC believes in the power of PRAYER! We truly believe daily prayer coupled with compassionate, empathetic, & attuned care is what makes our services unique.

Our model of care will leave your family equipt with the knowledge & support to have an empowered & positive birth experience.

From the moment you first contact us, our team is dedicated to praying for you, your baby, and your growing family as a whole. Above and beyond our private daily prayer life we meet corporately once a week to bind together in prayer. We are holding on to the promises of God for your life, for your child’s life, and your breastfeeding & postpartum journey.

Birth Doula

Your birth experience will be a lifelong memory, and using our doula services can help ensure that the birth of your child will be a memory of satisfaction. A doula recognizes birth as a key life experience and understands the physiology of birth and the emotional needs of a woman in labor. She assists a laboring woman in preparing for, and carrying out, her plans for the birth. She stays by the side of the laboring woman throughout the birth experience; providing emotional support, suggesting practical comfort measures, and providing objective information to aid decision making. She supplements, rather than replaces, the woman’s partner or care provider. She helps make a woman’s birth experience a positive event with rich rewards and feelings of accomplishment.

Postpartum Doula

The first weeks of postpartum are filled with admiration as you marvel over your newborn baby. It can also be an extremely challenging time for new families. Our postpartum doulas are here to help you navigate through the demands of this precious time. We provide moms with emotional & physical support. We offer support in other areas such as doing light housework, making meals, providing evidence-based information on all things newborn/postpartum, promoting self-care, advocating for the mother, helping siblings adjust, referring to additional support in all topics baby/mom, and so much more.

Lactation Counseling

We offer Holistic in-home Lactation Consultations & Breastfeeding Counseling for Mothers & babies at any stage of your feeding journey.

Breastfeeding is a beautiful & natural experience for birth mother and baby. It also can come with challenges that need navigation and support. We believe that you can have a positive breastfeeding experience and will walk along side you as you navigate this chapter of your life.

We offer non judgmental Prenatal Education, In Home Consultations, Feeding Plans, Holistic Counseling, Weight Checks, & More.

Birth Photography

Birth Photography is beautiful no matter how you birth. It’s a session that’s not focused on the cute clothes, hair, poses, and perfect light but on the raw moments of childbirth so you can see the power, strength, and inner beauty surrounding your birth as you bring your precious blessing into the world.

Sarah Stanley Doula and Childbirth Educator

Sarah

Sarah is a Certified StillBirthday Doula, DONA International Trained Doula, Professional Birth Photographer, Childbirth Educator, Homebirth Assistant & Midwife Student.

Sarah has all the passion and more for the birth world and birth photography. Not only is she passionate but she is knowledgeable and dedicated to fighting for a positive change for all births within North Carolina.

She was called into the birth world when she was serving in the United States ARMY. After giving birth to her first, she followed and supported three of her fellow soldiers through their birthing journey. At that time she had no idea what a "Doula" was but felt this is where the Lord needed her to be. After serving her country, Sarah felt led to guide others into self-advocacy and to empower women by trusting in themselves and their bodies. She started on the journey of becoming not only a Doula but a professional photographer and later specializing in birth documentation. After attending DONA training in 2014 and completing her training, Sarah was able to do hands-on work with teens and young moms with the YWCA before climbing on board as a trained professional Doula. Sarah is also a certified doula through StillBirthDay.

Sarah is blessed with an amazing husband, four children, and two angel babies. Sarah loves the Lord and enjoys the simple things in life like spending time with her family and serving at her church. Being a mother, homeschooling, and raising Godly children has always been a priority for her. Sarah is also pursuing her dream in midwifery and within a few short years will be serving women at home.

Sarah's passion, love, and excitement are displayed in her work daily. She believes pregnancy and childbirth are beautiful experiences, that not only result in the birth of a precious baby but the birth of a mother and family. Sarah's mission is to support mothers in communicating with their birth team and teaching mothers to trust their instincts, not only through their birth journey but, into parenthood as well.

Praise reports

  • Honestly, having a baby would have been such a dramatically different process had we not worked with Knitted Together. It is now especially true, after the fact, how lost we would have felt without Kelly and Sarah there to guide us. We spent time looking for a Christian Doula and we are so thankful that we found them! We felt spiritually led through the foreign land of the medical environment. They prayed with us and helped us to stay informed every step of the way. I will not do this journey alone again, and I am glad we didn’t the first time! WE LOVE KNITTED TOGETHER! - Eddie and Cory Hanline

  • Kelly and Sarah are not only lovely and gentle, but they’re attentive and intuitive and fun! They answer messages quickly all through pregnancy, pray over you and check in on you. We could not have accomplished our home birth without their tenderness and wisdom. We recommend them 10x over! - Marissa C

  • Words cannot express how thankful I am for Kelly & Sarah’s support before, during, & after the birth of my Daughter, Hosanna. They helped make her birth everything I prayed for & more! They helped keep me focused, supported, & encouraged during my labor. Constantly anticipating my needs & meeting them before I could even put them into words. They faithfully reminded me that God created my body to birth my baby perfectly & reminded me to trust Him when the contractions were the most intense! My Daughter’s birth was so beautiful, empowering, & healing & I know that that was largely due to their incomparable support! If you’re looking for the “perfect” Doulas, look no further! And if you can, definitely book their Doula & birth photography package! The second best gift, next to delivering a healthy baby girl, was having the most incredible photos to look back on & remember such a heavenly day! Thank you, Kelly & Sarah! I could never repay y’all for all you’ve done for me - Cait A

  • My birth with Kelly and Sarah present was nothing short of amazing! To be surrounded by such loving, supportive women is truly indescribable. These ladies are not afraid to speak prayer over you at any given moment, and you can just feel how much they love you and love what they do when they are around. The presence of God radiates from them both. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again! - Morgan C

  • We thoroughly enjoyed all the support, prayers & information both Kelly & Sarah gave us leading up to our birth. They were always a text or phone call away to answer all our questions! Kelly was an absolute lifesaver & came to our home to support us before we headed to the hospital as we treaded unknown territory. Her calm presence not only in our home but birthing space has no words. We truly believe we would not have had the birthing experience we desired without her knowledge, encouragement, prayers & calmness! Joseph and I are so grateful for the gifts God gave you! - Brittney M

  • Thank you so very much for the coaching and support through this pregnancy and most especially through our birth. Sarah and Tony (my husband) made such a great team, I drew so much strength from you both and was able to focus because of all you and he did to support me through it. John 16:21 couldn’t be more true! God bless you and your business - Melanie K

  • HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS WE MADE!!!! Sarah is so good at what she does and does it with gentle love and care. She came as our birth photographer but left as a friend. We now have some of the most amazing photos from one of the most incredible moments of our lives. She is THE BOMB! - Phouoc

  • Sarah was an amazing birth photographer, checking in with me from my delivery date up until my little girl finally decided to arrive, she arrived at the birthing center with very short notice and documented our birth story so beautifully. I barely noticed her taking pictures, I did however notice when she would cool off a washcloth for me as I labored in the tub, I noticed when she was there holding my hand, rubbing my face as the midwife stitched me up afterward while my husband bonded with our precious newborn. Our pictures turned out beautifully, and I feel that we gained not only wonderful documentation of our birth but friendship as well. I would highly recommend Sarah's services, both as a photographer and doula. I hope to hire her for both in the future! - Sarah T

Dedicated to Happy, Whole, Healthy Births.

We would love to support you on this journey to motherhood.
